Abstract:
The study was to examine Effects of strategic human resources practice on employees’ performance in Rwanda. a case of bank of Kigali.
The specific objectives of the study were to To examine the effects of financial rewards and non-financial rewards on employees’ performance in Bank of Kigali . To explore the impact of managers’ attitudes on employees’ performance in Bank of Kigali. To determine the effects of organizational culture on employees’ performance in Bank of Kigali. To examine the relationship between strategic human resource management of Bank of Kigali
The study population included the 567 employees of of Bank of Kigali. The sample of 85 participants have been investigated using questionnaires and interviews. The simple random sampling techniques have been adopted and the study findings have been analyzed and interpreted using SPSS 22.0. The study found that the effects of financial rewards on employees’ performance in Bank of Kigali the results obtained shows that the respondent’s opinion on pension scheme motivates employees to work harder had a highest mean of 4.41 with standard deviation of 1.226 then employer pays on time had mean of 4.10 with standard deviation of 1.279. It was followed by the employer contributes to my pension scheme had a mean of 3.90 with standard deviation of 2.55 and salary received motivates employees to perform significantly had a mean of 3.06 with a standard deviation of 1.265. Then bonus received from BANK OF KIGALI PLC for good performance had a mean of 3.02 and standard deviation of 1.362 followed by salary paid by my employer motivates the employees had a mean of 2.98 and a sta The study found out that the correlation coefficients between Strategic Human Resource Practice and employee performance in BANK OF KIGALI PLC. There is a fantastic and superb strong correlation among Strategic Human Resource Practice and employee performance in BANK OF KIGALI PLC as Pearson correlation confirmed (r=.543** with p-value of 0.000 < 0.01); however out of taken into consideration different factors have an effect on employee performance in BANK OF KIGALI PLC, Financial Rewards, Non-financial reward, Managers Attitudes, Organization Culture have a vast and high relationship of 54.3% for employee performance of BANK OF KIGALI PLC. Regression analysis was done to determine the relationship between employee performance and variables. Adjusted R Square was 0.780 and this implies 78% of the variations in employee performance was caused by variations in financial rewards, non-financial rewards, manager’s attitudes and organization culture.
