SME’s AND POVERTY REDUCTION IN RWANDA CASE STUDY: SELECTED SMES IN GISOZI SECTOR PERIOD (2019-2022)

Abstract

This research focused on the “SME'S and Poverty reduction in Rwanda, case study: SELECTED SMES IN GISOZI SECTOR period (2019-2022)” The general objective of this study is to look up the small and medium enterprises in poverty reduction in Rwanda. And the specific objectives are; To recognize the contribution of Selected Smes in Gisozi Sector on poverty reduction of its members and To evaluate the challenges faced by Selected SMES In Gisozi Sector in poverty reduction in GISOZI Sector To achieve the objective of the research, the researchers used difference methods and techniques such as analytical, documentary, interview, questionnaire techniques, and technique of direct observation were also used. The target population used in the research was SELECTED SMES IN GISOZI SECTOR; the sample size was 23 respondents of SME’S. This research finding revealed that the SELECTED SMES IN GISOZI SECTOR terms contribute to poverty reduction below. Referring to the objectives of the study, the general objective was archived where it explained by the affirmation of the respondents answered on how SELECTED SMES IN GISOZI SECTOR contributed to poverty Reduction especially in Gisozi Sector from the period starting on 2019-2022. . It is clear for the goal and objective of the SMES and mission to help its members to increase the resources and creating the new business, with the data collected from respondents the researchers confirmed that SMES follow the activities of the members and help to get service from the financial institutions in Rwanda.
