Abstract:
The purpose of this project is to develop and implement an online rental car management to
address the inefficiencies and challenges associated with manual permit issuance processes
in the rental agencies. The basic purpose of this system is to ease all the processes involved
in processing renting car process by eradicating use of papers, and wastage of funds with
the use of technology the system will ensure good services to customers, keep data.
This platform was developed using different technologies and tools and among others we
have: UML for the analysis, SQLite for creating databases, HTML and JavaScript as a
programming language for the system Front-end, and PHP for the backend.
The implementation of the online rental car management resulted in several significant
findings, including: A considerable reduction in renting processing time, waste of money to
go to the company office.
The project concludes that the adoption of an online rental car management system brings
substantial benefits to the renting industry. It streamlines the renting application process.
The system improves efficiency, transparency, and communication among stakeholders,
leading to timely serving customer.
The paper recommends the automation of reservation processes, real-time vehicle tracking,
Adding a mobile application for this system. These innovations are expected to enhance
customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and ensure scalability in a competitive market.
