dc.description.abstract This research is titled “The contribution of social enterprises to the improved methods of cooking for the well-being of rural women in Nyagatare district” with a case study of Tubeho Neza project 2020-2023 and the main objective of this research is to highlight the contribution of social enterprises to the improved methods of cooking for the well-being of rural women in Nyagatare District. Specifically to analyse the level of access to improved methods of cooking, to examine the associate factors and strategies to promote access to improved methods of cooking and related technologies and to find out the challenges in using improved methods of cooking among the rural families in Nyagatare district.These are 123,134 families in Nyagatare district. The researcher distributed 100 copies of questionnaire to farmers as sample size. The researcher made the analysis of the findings and interpretation of the result. The findings are presented in the tables and show that all respondents are expected to have Access to improved methods of cooking in household at 100% because of their objectives. The coefficient of determination shows that social enterprises to the improved methods of cooking contributed 82.7% on well-being for rural women living in Nyagatare district and general objective is confirmed and verified. The research also highlighted the challenges in using improved Methods of Cooking such as Lack of affordability, Lack of availability in the local area, High Cost of improved cooking technologies, Lack of reliable electricity supply and Lack of maintenance services for improved cooking devices. By addressing these challenges through targeted interventions, policymakers and stakeholders can make significant strides in improving the lives of rural women, enhancing their access to the improved cooking methods, and promoting sustainable development in Nyagatare District. en_US
