Abstract:
In recent years, the performance of traditional elections has fallen short in meeting the expectations of both citizens and political authorities. This paper addresses the issues shortcomings plaguing conventional election systems, including their susceptibility to vote manipulation, erosion of voter privacy and transparency, and the prolonged time required for vote counting. Our proposed solution offers a transformative alternative, leveraging electronic voting (e-voting) to mitigate these issues.
The security of traditional elections has been a prominent concern, with vulnerabilities that leave them susceptible to fraudulent attacks. This paper introduces a comprehensive approach to enhance the security and data integrity of the voting process. Through the utilization of advanced technology, we demonstrate that theoretically, these concerns can be completely addressed, assuring citizens of the sanctity of their votes.
Privacy of voters remains a fundamental requirement in any democratic process. In the proposed system, we prioritize and ensure voter privacy, safeguarding individual preferences and choices. By harnessing the power of e-voting, we establish a robust framework that guarantees the confidentiality of voters, instilling trust in the electoral process.
Moreover, the prolonged waiting time for election results has been a point of frustration. Our innovative voting system significantly reduces this waiting period, ushering in a new era of efficiency and responsiveness in the electoral process. Leveraging the advantages of e-voting, results can be tabulated and delivered promptly, meeting the demands of today's fast-paced society.
In conclusion, this thesis offers a comprehensive solution to the challenges confronting traditional elections. By embracing e-voting, we can eliminate vulnerabilities, enhance security, preserve voter privacy, and expedite the release of results. This proposed voting system represents a significant step toward revitalizing democracy, meeting the expectations of citizens and political authorities alike.
