dc.description.abstract Gender based violence is a problem and caused by many factors, the aim of this study is to analyze the effects of gender based violence on the social wellbeing of women in Rwanda, a case study: Gisozi sector, period: 2020-15 th July 2024. The objective of the study is to determine the causes of gender based violence in Gisozi Sector, to analyze the effects of gender based violence on the social wellbeing of women in Gisozi Sector, to establish different strategies that can be implemented by Rwanda government in order to overcome those challenges.This study subdivided by four different chapters, chapter one is general introduction, it contains the background of the study, objective of the study, scope of the study, and organization of the study, chapter two deals with the literature review, it contains definition of key concepts, theoretical review related to the study, and conceptual framework, chapter three research methodologies contain research design of the study, population of the study, techniques of data collection and method of data analysis, chapter four is presentation of findings and interpretation, this study end by general conclusion and suggestions. Chapter two is literature review which provide a description of key concepts, it point out the view of existing issues that have been explored and studied by different authors about the topic, it is basically related to the views extracted from books, internet, the dissertation and tables written on the effects of gender based violence on the social wellbeing of women in Rwanda. Chapter three is research methodology, systematic way to solve a problem, it is a science of studying how research is to be carried out, essentially the procedures by which researchers go about their work of describing, explaining and predicting phenomena are called research methodology. It is also defined as the study of methods by which knowledge is gained. Its aim is to give the work plan of research. chapter four is presentation of data findings, data analysis and interpretation from the field in related to effects of gender based violence on the social wellbeing of women in Rwanda, a case study: Gisozi sector, period: 2020- 2024, in this study the researcher analyze the first hypothesis and second hypothesis, in this chapter the researcher also analyze the primary data and ended by general conclusion. Based on the findings the researcher would suggest that Gisozi sector could establish the following issues that help to decrease gender based violence cases: continue training for local government employees in all GBV impact. en_US
