In virtue to the main purpose of this study, researcher designed an appropriate research methodology and used the interview, documentary and questionnaire techniques to collect and analyse relevant data which allowed the researcher to obtain the following findings: Regarding the root causes of tribal conflict in South Sudan community, especially in Juba, results shows that 57% agreed that tribal conflicts in Juba City are caused by ethno-political wrangling and 20% strongly agreed with this statement. it was also observed that 52% Strongly agreed that tribal conflict in Juba City are caused by competition amongst the elite over access to power and financial resources. On the other side, researcher realized that almost all respondents with 85% strongly agreed that tribal conflicts in Juba City are caused by competition over grazing land. On the issues of the effects of the tribal conflicts on the socio-economic development conditions of the Juba Citizens and suggested the solutions to rectify this situation in Juba, the results shows that tribal conflicts has a lot negative impact on the socio-economic development of Juba community where 67% agreed that there is poor provision of education in in Juba City due to tribal conflict. It is also observed that the majority of respondents with 70% strongly agreed that tribal conflict led to few trained medical personnel to provide health services to people in Juba City. Researcher also availed some suggestions to avoid any more conflicts and minimize their effects. For durable peace, actors across the governmental, private, and business sectors must produce pragmatic and implementable mechanisms that address both the proximate and root causes of the ongoing conflict. Furthermore, as there is a complex interaction between root causes, approaches should be rooted in a multi-faceted, multi-dimensional framework that employs consistent monitoring and evaluation to allow for appropriate and timely modification should recommendations inadvertently produce harm. Finally, proposals need to focus on both immediate aid and on long- term development, and should focus implicitly on building capacity at the individual, communal, societal, institutional and national levels. en_US
