the statement stated that the Food insecurity in South Sudan is a crucial issue that is politicised and
intertwined with instability, climate issues, and violence, ultimately leading to serious
humanitarian disasters. A vicious cycle of displacement, food insecurity, and more instability has
been sustained by the ongoing political unrest, bloodshed, and fighting in South Sudan, which has
seriously impacted agricultural output and delivery networks. The primary economic activity in
South Sudan, agriculture, has historically performed poorly due to many civil wars, which have led
to poverty, sluggish economic growth, and an inability to achieve development objectives. The
specific objectives of the study are to assess the impact of oil spills on soil fertility and
agricultural productivity in affected regions, to evaluate the extent to which oil exploitation has
contaminated water sources and its subsequent effect on crop irrigation and food safety and to
determine the long-term environmental impacts of oil exploitation on biodiversity and the
availability of natural resources necessary for food production, in methodology research
