dc.description.abstract The role of international organization in socio-economic advancement has been an awesome factor in creating nations improvement. This study examined UNICEF‘s interventions in Liberia and results shows a significant impact on the economic development of Liberian children. In a country that has suffered decades of civil war and economic instability, UNICEF plays a key role in improving the health of the most vulnerable children. The research presents a comprehensive literature review aimed at explaining the concept of socio- economic development and the associated theories pertaining to international organizations' roles in fostering national development. The study was structured around fact-finding methodologies. The research focused on a sample population comprising 10 employees from UNICEF and 75 child beneficiaries. The findings indicate a significant impact of UNICEF on early childhood education, particularly in areas such as healthcare services, school feeding programs, and immunization efforts. Furthermore, UNICEF's dedication to socio-economic development has led to a 22% improvement in the lives of children in Liberia, an 8.9% reduction in poverty levels, a 26.7% decrease in disease risk among children, and a 42.2% enhancement in child education. However, there are ongoing challenges that continue to affect children‘s overall success, particularly in terms of maintaining stability and addressing systemic problems. The research concludes that UNICEF should strengthen its social assistance programs to improve children‘s economic well-being. Stakeholders are advised to prioritize child development in all activities of the Liberian government. en_US
