dc.description.abstract A boundary dispute is a dispute that arises between owners or occupiers of neighbouring properties. Sometimes, but not always a boundary dispute will arise when one party constructs a 12 fence, wall or building in a position which highlights that the two neighbours have different views as to where the boundary lies and in the most cases information on land titles of those boundary doesn’t match what’s on the ground. A boundary dispute may take many forms. Often it is simply a dispute relating to the position of boundary. Usually someone will argue that a physical marker, such as a fence, hedge or wall is the wrong place. The general objective was to assess the contribution of Differential Global positioning System in land parcel boundaries disputes resolution in Busogo Sector. The specific objectives were to identify the land parcel boundaries disputes before adoption of Differential Global positioning System, to show how Differential Global positioning System facilitate in land parcel boundaries disputes resolution and to compare the land parcels boundaries taken from aerial photo and the land parcel boundaries measured by using Differential Global positioning System. Simple random sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 100 respondents from 28,264 populations. The findings indicated that Quarrels among neighbours, conflict among family member, multiples sales and ownership conflict linked with inheritance are the main land boundary disputes before the use of Differential Global positioning System in Busogo sector. The findings indicated that parcel subdivision divided into two parts with DGPS there is a guaranty it’s really true due to DGPS accuracy and stake out of the boundary because DGPS was used to show the measurements which are on land title on the ground, it shows exactly the boundary location as it is on land title. Government of Rwanda through RLMUA should continue not to seat and to forget that land registration may be a source of many land disputes especially the one regarding to the boundaries in that way we recommend them to mobilize the Rwandan people to do collection of their land parcels boundaries coordinates by the use of Differential global positioning system in order to prevent the disputes related to the land boundary disputes and to help them to be developed en_US
