dc.description.abstract This study was carried out in order to show the possible causes of conflict in the workplace which can occur in Rundoyi Project supported by Compassion International, to analyze the role of servant leadership in conflict management of Rundoyi Project supported by Compassion International, to find out the obstacles hindering leaders in conflict management of Rundoyi Project supported by Compassion International, to suggest the strategies to be taken so that servant leadership can manage conflict for the development of Rundoyi Project supported by compassion international. The literature review was about the definition of terms and provided a clear and concise explanation of key concepts, variables, and terminology used throughout the study. The second chapter of this study was concerned with the methodology which the researcher used in order to reach his objectives. For data collection the researcher used primary data from questionnaire and secondary data from textbooks and academic reports. The study area was Rundoyi Project supported by Compassion International Rwanda, which is located in Rutsiro District. The study population was 221 people, including parents, the staff of Rundoyi Project and the Executive Committee. Through the formula of Déperteau, the sample size became 21 people. It is important to note that the findings of this study highlight the importance of leaders to create environments of trust among their followers: it is the basis for the effectiveness of servant leadership in reducing interpersonal workplace conflict. In addition, the findings showed that the compromising style, used by servant leaders can reduce and manage conflict among the staff. We can conclude that servant leadership is a tool to solve many conflicts, even in projects supported by Compassion International. en_US
