dc.description.abstract The present study is on the Human resource management and employee’s job performance in a non governmental organization. A case of IGCP/Goma (2023). Human resource management professionals today face a significant number of challenges as they continue to manage public employees in a rapidly changing environment that includes an aging workforce, increased competition for employees from the private and non-profit sectors, increased outsourcing, and the reform or the removal of the civil service protections (French, 2012). In recent years, many public sector reforms have attempted to release personnel constraints on the assumption that more managerial flexibility will increase organizational performance. The general objective of this study was to examine the impact of human resource management on the employee job performance especially in IGCP/Goma. The first specific objectives were to analyze the soundness of human resource management in IGCP/Goma, to assess and analyze the challenges of human resource management in IGCP/Goma and to establish the relationship between human resource management and employee job performance especially in IGCP/Goma 2023. Descriptive research design was adopted for this study using quantitative methods of data collection. The study used a sample of 72 employees from IGCP/Goma selected using purposive sampling techniques. The study used primary data collected by questionnaires. Secondary data were collected using document analysis techniques. In order to achieve objectives, data were collected from selected respondents to generalize the results of the study. After analysis the study found that there is a sound human resource management in IGCP/Goma, challenges are financially and target oriented. The researcher found that there is a statistically significant correlation between human resource management and employee job performance; as correlation coefficients was 0.831 (83.1%). The main conclusion was made that human resource management contributes to the performance of the organization. The main recommendation was made to IGCP/Goma that it should make sure that continuous and target oriented trainings are available to employees, that target based policies should be put in place and employees centered decision making should also be applied in order to highly motivate employees. en_US
