This study aimed at assessing the contribution of accounting information analysis in the decision making of insurance companies as a case study of SONARWA S.A.”. General objective of this study is to evaluate the level of contribution of accounting information analysis on the decision making of insurance company’s case study SONARWA S.A. The findings of this study are presented in accordance with objectives stated by the researcher such as, to examine the level of contribution of accounting information analysis in insurance companies SONARWA S.A; to assess the effectiveness decision making made by insurance company’s case study SONARWA S.A; to establish the relationship between the accounting information analysis and the decision making of insurance companies SONARWA S.A. The corresponding research questions what is the level of contribution accounting information analysis in insurance companies? What is the effectiveness of decisions made by insurance companies? What is the relationship between accounting information analysis and decision making in insurance companies?
The methodology used while conducting this research was primary data where they were 31 respondents distributed questionnaires equally. During the study complete universal sampling were employed. The researcher used questionnaires as tools of data collection. The collected data was edited, put into SPSS statistical software and frequencies were determined with their percentages.
According to the findings on to examine the level of contribution of accounting information analysis in insurance companies SONARWA S.A. uses variance analysis, absorption costing and activity based budget as management accounting technique used by the company; accounting information analysis contributes highly in SONARWA S.A decision making. To assess the effectiveness decision making made by insurance company’s case study SONARWA S.A. the effectiveness of decision making in SONARWA S.A is very important; effective decision making contributes to the performance of the company. To establish the relationship between the accounting information analysis and the decision making of insurance companies SONARWA S.A. there is any relationship between the accounting information analysis and the decision making of SONARWA S.A, the role of management accountant in an organization is to support the information needs of management in making decision. |
